The Importance of Beard in Islam

Islam is a religion of peace and love. It has always given those commands to people which are for their own benefit. Many questions arise of the issue of having a beard on men. Some people claim that it is compulsory while others say that it’s not compulsory but a Sunnah. It means that if you keep a beard, you will have a great reward from Allah and you will be mentioned among those people who follow the path of Sunnah. If you do not keep a beard, it will not be considered as a sin but then you will not be among the followers of Sunnah.

There is a famous Hadith of our beloved Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him) in Al-Bukhari that “Muslims should cut their moustaches and should grow their beards. So that they can differentiate themselves from the Polytheists (Non-believers)”. These days, people adopt stylish ways of keeping a beard but the official Sunnah method of keeping a beard is to leave the hair on your cheek and chin, going for umrah then before selection of family umrah packages from London you must take a shape of beard according to Sunnah. Allah has mentioned in Surah Teen that “We have made the human beings in the best shapes”. This Ayat shows that human beings have the best shapes and size because we are designed by Allah Almighty. We should not change our body by doing surgeries or anything which people do these days to follow the beauty trends. Also beard makes a significant difference in men and women. It shows a prominent variance among both genders so that they both don’t look alike. These days there have been a strange trend going on that women try to dress and look like men whereas men get attracted towards the beauty products of women.

Not only the Muslim men follow Sunnah but they should also teach their fellow men to keep beard so that Islam can prevail everywhere.
